HISTORY

Under the vision of our father Dallas C. Herring, Golden Rule Homes Inc. was established in 1975. With a passion for treating the customer the way he would like to be treated, quality customer service became the foundation of his business plan. He made manufactured housing an affordable option for families in the surrounding communities of Virginia and West Virginia.

In an effort to provide a legislative and consumer advocacy agency for the manufactured housing community, the Commonwealth of Virginia created the Manufactured Housing Board in 1992. Our father served as the Vice Chairman from April 1, 1992 - March 31, 1996. He was Chairman from June 19, 1996 - January 20, 1999.

Our father was a member of the Virginia Manufactured Housing Association and received the Hall of Fame Award in 1992 for his unselfish dedication to the Manufactured Housing industry. He also received awards for excellence in service in 1993 and 1995.

We uphold his passion for providing quality manufactured housing to the surrounding communities. We invite you to meet the next generation of our family operated business and let them assist you in turning our houses into your home.
